at 10:31 the "armless form" appears, previously seen in Nichijou and Azumanga Daioh. Seen the greats but not popular broadly in anime?
the "action scenes" like the wine cork scene are very much like Nichijou (like the Yukko/Mio sausage scene)
the sections with small interludes betwixed, a la Nichijou. However the sections seem to smoothly connect to each other before going off into their own direction. This adds a lot of world building and making the location feel real and alive.
It is interesting to see how this fleshing out of the location continues. Another anime that takes place in a relatively small town and in which that location is quite important to whole is Aria, which does that very successfully.
