Elymas could have taken just the shield and share the magic stone's proceed with everybody, it would give people one less reason to criticize him. But that might not be valuable, haters will find other reasons to hate him.
Oh, I also want to mention they both spent a lot of effort animating stuff like fly-by of the scenery, those budget could be better spent at animating more scenes and not repeating a lot of stuff doing recaps not only from last episode but also between commercial breaks.

I know Proton has to fool the windows binary to some degree to make it think it is just running on windows, but I wonder if it is possible for a game developer to offer a "Played this game on a steam deck / steam machine", or less specifically, "under SteamOS / Proton", achievement without resorting to a separate Linux binary?

I think it illustrates well that nobles don't care about any individual commoner and just treat them like cattle, without saying it aloud. Even if it is anime original (I don't know) I think it is a brilliant piece of world building.
