The Trump administration claims to be fighting an existential battle against insurrectionary forces in Los Angeles. In truth, it created this cynical spectacle itself, deploying troops and inflaming tensions to distract from its policy failures.

The shitty thing is that this isn't just a fake news story to distract you from the truth. Even if it is a distraction tactic, it is also a very real threat and escalation that needs attention too. It's fucking whack a mole with the problems and many of the moles are the size city buses.

    People who say "This is just a distraction" are missing the point of Steve Bannon's flood the zone tactic. The point is to overwhelm you with too much shit at the same time, regardless of what they get away with it's something that they want. It's not causing chaos to hide a nefarious plan, the chaos is the plan.
