I won't be even remotely shocked when he does it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] GreatFord@lemm.ee 20 points 2 years ago (1 child) He seems like a Kennedy Jr. guy permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world [S] 17 points 2 years ago He's an anti-vaxxer too, so probably. permalink fedilink source parent [–] demlet@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 child) He constantly tries to get Republicans to disavow Trump on his show. He used his show to practically beg people to vote for Biden even if they didn't like him, just to get Trump out of office. People here may not like everything he does, I certainly don't, but the guy will never support Trump, I'm willing to state that unequivocally. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] moriabalrogs@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent [–] littlecolt@lemm.ee 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) He's a tribal Democrat. Trump was a registered Democrat in the 2000's. He's switched part affiliation over and over based on what he thinks will work best for him optically. Now as for Maher, he's a typical old neoliberal. He may be pro-choice and also more for reforms like gun control and taxing the rich, but on many social issues he might as well be a Republican. I think he agrees with Trump's position on a whole host of issues. I think if Trump was a registered Democrat, we would be seeing a very different tone from Maher about him. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] moriabalrogs@lemmy.world -3 points 2 years ago (1 child) https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2018/dec/18/blog-posting/no-donald-trump-did-not-call-republican-voters-dum/ permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] littlecolt@lemm.ee 1 point 2 years ago What's this quote have to do with anything?
