There's no way a client calls a dolly a "pan". That's obviously zooming. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] ByteOnBikes@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 year ago I met a guy who would say "pan forward" and "pan it in an angle". permalink fedilink source parent [–] mr_satan@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago I'll have one zoom sideways to the left, please! permalink fedilink source parent [–] And009@lemmynsfw.com 1 point 1 year ago We will zoom out towards the top permalink fedilink source parent [–] Rubanski@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago A Pan-o-rama permalink fedilink source parent [–] ulterno@programming.dev 5 points 1 year ago Interesting. The word 'pan', came to me from using 3D CAD software and I considered the Jib and Truck actions as 'pan' and the original Pan would be camera rotation, which might be 'turn' (didn't use it as much so don't remember) which was less favourable than using 'orbit'. Good to know the word origin. Oh and btw, Dolly would not be zoom, but 'walk'. permalink fedilink source parent [–] samus12345@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago Client cameras love everyone! permalink fedilink source parent
