It's a sad and disturbing story. And the guy is getting massively fucked over on a technically. But there are far worse places the family could be forced to move to than Denmark.

    That would be fine if the current administration were actually deporting and not imprisoning. If he ends up getting on a plane it'll either be to El Salvador or to the Sudan. It's naive to think that they'll just send him to Denmark.

    Well that's what they've done to several Canadians who they've grabbed (after keeping them in immigration detention centers for several weeks). They eventually sent them back to Canada.

    Then that needs the question, why then are they sending people to these prisons in a country that they are not from? It's almost like we somehow got sent back to the 1930s and playing out what would have happened if instead of Germany the United States decided to be the bad guys.

    The answer, sadly, is plain and simple racism/discrimination.

    Non-Hispanic Caucasians are getting deported to their county of origin (eventually). Hispanics and non-Caucasians are being sent to foreign prisons. Shit's fucked up.
