I mean, surely a toggle to get rid of that nonsense should be easy? I'm sure it never used to happen a few versions ago. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [+] Turret3857@infosec.pub 0 points 1 year ago (1 child) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk 1 point 1 year ago (1 child) Unfortunately that doesn't help on stock Android. My workaround is to ask Gemini to take a screenshot. It's ridiculous but it works. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Markaos@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 year ago (1 child) That's weird, it works for me on Android 15 and I could swear it was always the case for me. A simple way to disable the sound is to press a volume button, tap the small button at the top and pick silent or vibrate there. Does that really not work for you? Btw the screenshot sound is linked to ring volume, not notifications. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk 4 points 1 year ago Aha! I turned the notification volume off, not the ring volume. That works, thank you. Still shouldn't be necessary but at least I can shut it up now! permalink fedilink source parent [–] possiblylinux127@lemmy.zip -1 points 1 year ago The camera app is vendor specific permalink fedilink source parent
