Just use wireless charging, roast the battery and buy a new phone when the battery finally dies after a few years. They would still need a way to connect to the phone for diagnosis reasons and all that, or to connect to it via iTunes. It’s all 100% wireless now. Source Apple has been tinkering with this idea for a while now, and it’s already in use.
