[–] DicksAndPizza@lemm.ee 44 points 1 year ago* (5 children) I feel like I’m being trolled right now. This cannot possibly be real. And this guy is actually the president. Fuck America. How could this happen. I fucking had less boxes when I moved into my new apartment lmfao. The printer is a nice little touch. Love the black accent between all these white boxes. I mean this honestly: You would tell me if this was fake, right? It wasn’t that hard to miss the details of this at the time unless you were obsessively following the stories in side channels (like me), sifting through the bullshit and going down rabbit holes and reading 800 page court filings, and that could fuck up your mental health. Many people didn’t have the time or capacity for that. This all happened at the same time as the inquiry into J6, too, which itself was an unprecedented and massive story, overshadowing much of the other treason. That whole time period was mentally exhausting. I’m saddened and frustrated many people missed the importance of this story, but I do understand. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] KillingTimeItself@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 point 1 year ago that is true. Like… this stuff is an actual joke. But it’s your own fault in America. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] monarch@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 child) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] DicksAndPizza@lemm.ee 1 point 1 year ago* (1 child) Yeah, it’s a serious issue. Our normal parties need to address urgent issues in order to get the protest voters back from the AfD. I’m convinced that 20% of our population are not nazis. They’re just stupid and angry because they don’t feel heard. Sure there are Nazis. But it’s not 20%. I hope. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Cryophilia@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 child) They’re just stupid and angry because they don’t feel heard. I personally know people who voted the AfD. They are not nazis. Are they dumb in this regard? Yes. But they don’t hate minorities. They hate the lethargic SPD, CDU, etc. No party has a serious plan to tackle the immigration issue. And it is an issue. There’s no denying this. The AfD is the only party that openly complains about the immigration. Unfortunately their plans are horrible. So we need the normal parties to do normal things to tackle immigration normally, not like Hitler. That’s where they are stupid. They vote for the AfD because it’s the only vocal party about it. They fail to see that the AfD would just lock the immigrants up or round them up at the border. They’re ignorant and stupid. But they aren’t nazis. Again. Some certainly are. All I’m saying is that not ALL of their voters are nazis. They’re angry and misguided. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Cryophilia@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 child) All I was saying is that "Nazi" does not exclusively mean "vicious racist".
