Iirc they did make a live action version with Harold from Harold and Kumar as Spike. I refused to watch it personally because I don't have high hopes for it.

That sounds terrible. I bet they'd make a complete joke of everything and hardly follow the source material. I'm glad they never made that show, Netflix would never make something so rubbish.

I gave it a try as a huge Bebop fan and couldn't last 10 minutes before decrying it an abomination and moving on.
