I've thought a lot on my projects, and i've decided that, in 2027, i'll publish two books written in English. Not in French, the books won't have success in France.

• my martian autobiography, u'll have a blast, guaranteed.

• a book dedicated to the French Catholic writers of the early 20th-century. Lots of amazing & original stories. Before publishing the book, i'll maintain a blog dedicated to it.

I've just bought 3 ebooks wrote by Becky Chambers. One of her books is a collection of short stories. Ill start tonight with this one, and if her stories are good, i'll contzct her to ask her if she's OK for an interview for my blog SFSS.

On reddit & amazon, i see a crapton of comments saying shes a great authors.

A question for those of us who have read some of her books: is it good, and if yes why? What makes her unique, etc etc write what u want to write about her.

Me personnaly i cant wait to read the three books of Becky i just bought.

Ive saved a lot of good western sci-fi stories, but im looking for writers from the south, the european east and also asian writers. Either they have a book or stories published online, and then if its good stuff ill interview them, or they have stories published under a creative commons licence. That way i could republish on SFSS.

Hello all, I'm new to this community!

I just finished Murray Leinster's Pariah Planet. I love how it started out, but some of his writing ticks bothered me too much (he uses "presently" nearly every other page) otherwise I would probably continue with his Med Series. Idk maybe I will anyway...

Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Not looking for just pandemic stories, (and please no zombies) -- I enjoy the detective undertones of public health scientists figuring shit out, and some of the political conflicts that arise.

One thing about Pariah Planet that I've been really drawn to are stories of scientists in solitude. I really liked the movie io and the podcast series Girl in Space.

I'm also in the middle of Apollyon but waiting for more of the next season to come out so I can binge!

Books available as audiobooks, podcast audiodramas, and movies would all be ideal but lmk whatever you think fits in my very specific subgenre interest

Hi! I’ve read the Foundation trilogy and heard that to understand sequels and prequels I need to read the Robot series (especially the sub-series about Lije Baley). So I’ve read „Mother Earth” and started „The Caves of Steel”. My question is: Why were robots forbidden on Earth during the events of „Mother Earth”, but were not banned during the early robots series, and why were they allowed in the Outer World? I got that they are allowed during events of „The Cages of Steel” because of the Pacific Project. But did I get it right that the Pacific Project failed? Cause objectives of the project were:

1. Temporarily isolate Earth from Outer Worlds (DONE)
2. Force earthmen to control birth, use robots, and hydroponic farms. (DONE)
3. Till the time of new contact of earthmen and the spacers, the spacers either die out from diseases or evolve to the state where they are not racists toward earthmen (FAILED, cause spacers in the Spacetown still are as much racists as spacers in “Mother Earth”)

So there will be any explanation why the Paciffic Project failed?
