I've been using Librewolf on my Linux box for years, but my work PC had Firefox portable on it. I want to make the switch there, but FF isn't listed on the browsers to import from.

I could copy the profile folder, but I'm afraid of overwriting the sane LW defaults with less private FF settings.

How can I solve this? Is there a way to import stuff (plugins, history, etc) without overwriting privacy and security settings? Or perhaps a way to reset privacy and security settings without losing the rest of the preferences?

Edit: I also asked this on LW's official Matrix support channel, and it looks like my fears are mostly unfounded. Thanks to any1here who answered this, and is the Setting Maintainer for the project and overall chill chihuahua.

Recently, my librewolf install across all computers and operating systems has begun to try to compete with Bitwarden to offer to fill stored logins. This has happened before but quite a while ago. The solution was to go into settings and disable the browser's autocomplete feature for logins and passwords. The issue this time is that I can't seem to find the setting.

Has it been renamed or removed? How do I get librewolf to stop offering to fill login filelds?

When I check my battery, it says "Librewolf is currently blocking sleep and screen locking (Playing audio)". This happens even when there is no audio playing. What's causing this, how do I fix it?

LibreWolf is one of the best browsers for people who don't like generative AI.

Here is the statement posted on Mastodon:

As there seems to have been recent confusion about this, just a quick "official" toot to then pin: we haven't and won't support "generative AI" related stuff in LibreWolf. If you see some features like that (like Perplexity search recently, or the link preview feature now) it is solely because it "slipped through". As soon as we become aware of something like this / it gets reported to us, we will remove/disable it ASAP.

The network tools shows that a couple requests fail with 429 code while returning 200 codes on Firefox.

Is there some way to fix it?

Hi everyone, When starting LibreWolf, I noticed that it sends the following DNS query:

Standard query 0x053e A host
Standard query response 0x053e A host SOA ns0.centralnic.net

The query is for a non-existent domain host, and the response includes an SOA record from ns0.centralnic.net. I'm wondering why LibreWolf is making this request. Is it related to security features, DNS caching, connection checks, or something else?

DNS is set manually, but this query still appears every time the browser launches.

Any insights would be appreciated!
