There is an old legend in Korea. It predates the division of the country following WWI and involves sort of medieval hero character. I know that the North Koreans made asort of martial arts movie about him which is on youtube. But are there other movie versions, more recently? In south Korea? What view do South Koreans have on this character?

This is the closest I ever came to the North Korean border. It is not the normal tourist tour to the DMZ, I might do that some day too, instead I'm looking over the water towards North Korea, behind a military checkpoint.

I'm also new here and I noticed that there isn't a community for Korea yet so I made one.
