In the months leading up to Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest on federal sex trafficking charges on July 6, 2019, a small U.S. Virgin Islands bank he owned that had employed no one and laid dormant for years suddenly came alive.

A flurry of transactions totaling more than $20 million passed through the bank named Southern Country International from April to early July that year, according to a Miami Herald investigation based on the recently released documents by the U.S. Justice Department.

And months after the disgraced financier was found dead in a Manhattan detention facility on Aug. 10, an additional $25 million was moved through Southern Country, with roughly a quarter of that amount coming from unspecified sources.

A woman known as Jane Doe 4 in the Jeffrey Epstein files is “staying off the grid” and lives in fear of retaliation from the Trump administration amid an escalating controversy over its handling of her case, according to a family member.

“Trauma is brutal. Chronic trauma destroys,” said the relative, who described the woman’s life as layers of abuse dating back to early childhood. “She’s coping as best she can.”

The woman had four interviews with FBI agents in 2019 that keep resurfacing in the Epstein sex-trafficking scandal. She made unproven allegations she was abused by the New York financier in the 1980s, then sexually assaulted by Donald Trump, when she was between 13 and 15 years old. The White House has called her allegations “completely baseless” and “backed by zero credible evidence”, a claim it said was supported by the fact that the Biden administration’s justice department knew about the allegations but “did nothing with them”.

She is one of the only alleged Epstein victims to have directly accused Trump, and irregularities in the justice department’s handling of her case files have now become a rallying point for critics of the acting attorney general, Todd Blanche, who is the US president’s nominee for permanent appointment.

A federal judge in Washington last week gave Blanche until 2 July to produce unredacted versions of files the justice department has already released, or provide an explanation for why it cannot produce the unredacted records. The Department of Justice was also ordered to release interview notes related to Jane Doe 4’s allegations. The decision was part of a civil case against Blanche brought by journalist Katie Phang.

Late Friday, the justice department’s number three official, Stanley Woodward, gave notice he will join the case. “They really, really don’t want these documents released,” tweeted Brendan Ballou, a lawyer for the Public Integrity Project, who is representing Phang. ...

Breaking now, Judge Emmet Sullivan has granted a preliminary injunction that orders the Department of Justice to either release a number of specific Epstein files to the public, or to "show cause" why they shouldn't.

The government has until July 2 to file responses.

Lawyer and journalist Katie Phang filed suit to enforce the Epstein Transparency Act. The judge has evidently determined that she has suffered harm from being unable to report on the unreleased files, and therefore has standing to sue.

This decision seems like it might be headed for an appeal, but Judge Sullivan declined to stay, or delay implementation, to allow the government time to appeal. So the clock to July 2 is currently ticking.

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi is set to give a closed-door interview Friday over her handling of the federal government's investigation into the late, convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell.

As head of the Justice Department, Bondi faced intense criticism over the agency's release of a trove of documents pertaining to Epstein that revealed personal information and images of survivors.

Bondi's appearance before the House Oversight Committee comes weeks after President Donald Trump fired her in April. She told CNN on Wednesday that she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer shortly after her exit from the DOJ.

Groff worked for Epstein for 18 years, from 2001 until his arrest in July 2019. No criminal charges have ever been brought against her (or anyone else connected to Epstein, apart from Maxwell). Since Epstein’s death, in August 2019, Groff has remained almost invisible and spoken only through her lawyers. Recent photographs have shown her going to pilates or walking her dog near her home in Connecticut, off-duty and low-key. Compared to the royals, politicians, billionaires and professors who have featured in the Epstein files, Groff is low status – a non-celebrity with no public reputation to lose. But when you search for her name in the files, you receive more than 160,000 results, more than anyone else. (I have read perhaps 10,000 of these, a fraction.) No one was more regularly in contact with Epstein, day-to-day.

After the release of the Epstein files, the US Congress’s committee on oversight and government reform decided to review the possible mismanagement of the federal government’s investigation into Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes. On 3 March 2026, they sent a letter to Groff asking her to attend an interview in Washington on 9 June: “The Committee believes you have information that will assist in its investigation.” They believe, in other words, that Groff knows more than she has ever said she knows.

The documents expose a network of doctors and administrators at the prestigious Manhattan medical institution who arranged after-hours emergency room access, made house calls to Epstein's homes and private island and facilitated professional opportunities for people in his circle, reported CNN.

One notable instance involved Dr. Jess Ting, a plastic surgeon at Mount Sinai, who repeatedly traveled to Epstein's residences for medical consultations. In emails obtained by the Justice Department, Ting described Epstein as a "VIP" and pledged that "for Mr. Epstein anything is possible." When Epstein's assistant asked if Ting could perform a procedure at 10 p.m., Ting simply responded: "yes. See you then."

LONDON (AP) — British police appealed for witnesses Friday as they sought to broaden their investigation into potential offenses by the former Prince Andrew, including sexual misconduct.

Thames Valley Police issued the statement as it updated reporters on its investigation into allegations of misconduct in public office by the former prince, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The force covers the area west of London where Mountbatten-Windsor lived for many years.

Apparently back in 2010 Epstein paid Seckel tens of thousands of dollars to clean up his image online. They used bots and hacking campaigns to drive the sex trafficking news stories out of search results and instead pushed Epstein’s supposed "philanthropic work" funding scientists. They also fucked with his Wikipedia page big time. You want proof we’re living in 1984 and the Mandela effect isn't just your imagination? This is it right here.

That was 16 years ago, now imagine the unseen shit they’re doing with the tools of today, like targeting individuals. It’s only going to get worse.

A few months after their friendship began, in a November 2016 email included in the FBI files, Epstein sent Chopra a link to a Daily Mail article about a “troubled woman” who claimed that she had been assaulted by Donald Trump when she was 13 years old, at a party hosted by Epstein. (The article reported that those allegations had not been substantiated, and that the woman’s lawsuit against Trump was dismissed.)

“Did she also drop civil case against you?” Chopra asked. Epstein responded with one word: “yup.” Chopra said: “good.”

Over the following year, the two continued to exchange greetings, ideas and invitations. In February 2017, Chopra invited Epstein by email to attend a course the following month called “Journey Into Healing.” Chopra added that he would also be leading a weeklong retreat that June at a Canadian resort — he wrote “Bamf,” presumably meaning Banff, Alberta — and said, “The girls might enjoy it.”

In another email a few days after that one, Chopra invited Epstein to “Come to Israel with us” to “Relax and have fun with interesting people.” He suggested that Epstein might “use a fake name” and “Bring your girls.”
