I'm getting obsessed with Plan 9 and I'd love to do something using this palette, but I don't have any good ideas.

It's time for another multi-game month! After skiing, pinball, cricket and golf, we sat down for a nice game of computer pool. And snooker. And billiards. Basically anything where you use a cue stick to hit a ball on a table. Turns out there are quite a few of these for MS-DOS, but perhaps not as many as you'd think.

Joining hosts Martijn ("Tijn") and Florian ("rnlf") we have DGC members Richard ("Pix") and DRS ("dr_st") on the show. None of us are pool experts really, but we're trying our best!

This is our 3 year anniversary! And without you guys this wouldn't have happened. I'm glad we have all these passionate people all over the fediverse willing to post the most amazing retro content.

Thankfully it was another pretty quiet year for us as admins of this site. But this is business as usual for us by now, as our site usually doesn't attract a lot of rowdy people.

This was the year that we launched our other retro inspired fedi-place called Retrofed, a PieFed based instance. This software has also proved to be great, and this is my preferred home for browsing myself (but, don't worry, retrolemmy will remain to exist as long as we physically can). We have added topics and feeds there, that can make subscribing and/or following content much easier. Hopefully these feeds will also work on lemmy if and when lemmy 1.0 gets here.

I'm glad you people are here. It's always amazing seeing a retrolemmy account in the wild, and it's great seeing all the active communities and posts here too! Thanks for another fun year!

A marriage between first person exploration and visual novel, blessed with a sprinkle of puzzle gameplay. Immerse yourself in a period drama that intertwines romance with murder mystery, as a young cleric who must resist or give in to the charms of a strikingly beautiful maid.

For those that missed: The episode post is being edited as episodes come up, and the character guides. Seeing as Ms Marvel never showed on the official studio YT but updated the open β, it looks to be that Sony is purposely strangling the game b4 launch.

For those unfamiliar with r/place, the canvas event presents all fediverse users with a giant blank canvas, which is then collectively drawn on. Each user can place down a single pixel every 30 seconds anywhere on the canvas for the duration of the event, which is 48 hours.

You can see a timelapse of last year's Canvas event here.

This limitation means the only way to assemble a larger piece of art is for people to come together in groups to collectively decide what they’ll be drawing (usually with a pixel art template someone proposes), where it will be on the canvas, and communicate with other groups working on neighboring artworks so as not to impede their efforts, or even to negotiate mutual aid treaties to help maintain each other’s art from potential hit-and-run attacks.
