Personally, not at all. They're usually laying behind me (on this little stool thing they claimed), on the rug next to me, or on top of this plastic bin (full of blankets, but one didn't fit so I laid it on top, and now I feel bad moving it into the basement because they love it lol).

Sometimes they'll jump onto my lap, but they just curl up and lay down. Almost never have had an interruption from them

I tried helping a friend with this a few weeks ago, and we struggled with getting it running on raspbian. I think it's no longer supported? Or maybe out of date.

I don't know if you're avoiding this solution, but we we ended up just installing Steam Link onto the device and it seems to work fine that way

Oatmilk is the only thing I'll use for lattes or whatever, I prefer much more than regular milk. I use the full-fat Oatly or any of the barista oatmilks though, the regular ones definitely aren't as good and do seem more watery

Trying to get my friend to learn Japanese with us - she can speak fairly well (as far as a little bit of studying and a 2 week vacation spent in Japan takes you at least), but she definitely gets overwhelmed by some of the kanas. I think just seeing some that appear so similar like...

    ウヲワネフラ

Stresses her out a lot. Ironically, her husband can read kana very quickly, but isn't as good speaking and doesn't know most any of the words he was reading. At least he could read the signs in Japan and she could say what some of it meant 😆

Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I'm not sure where to ask - the chess.com forums just left me hanging.

According to the FAQs, it sets tournaments up in a round robin style. Not sure what that means, but as long as it has us all play each other it's fine by me. Here's my goal - have all 6 players play eachother, and to not have us all play 5 games at once. Anyone know what settings to choose for six people? Thanks I'm advance for any tips!

So I just recently got to S rank, and my girlfriend is now saying she doesn't want to play with me because I'm such a high level 😅

How does matchmaking work for Splatoon 3? Will they average our levels for who to place us with? Or will it be based off of mine since I'm the highest level? Or possibly even just based off of who opened the room? I honestly have no idea, so any info is appreciated!

    Ranger Bug? (lemmy.world)

We ran into an issue in our game today, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this or might know a solution.

One of our players is (well, was...) a ranger. Every time he would use animal companion (after level 5, this wasn't always the case), it would instantly aggro him and start a combat. No one else had him marked as an enemy, only the ranger. We once tried attacking it when we were in camp, and Astorian ran over to heal it. If no one made any moves and just ended their turn, the combat rotation just went in circles and nothing would happen. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

    Hello All!

Little cousin just presented me with an issue he's having, and it's definitely not something I've heard of before. Just wanted to see if anyone else has heard of/experienced this before writing him off lol.

He says that he will NEVER play with his joycons attached to the switch, as it drains the consoles battery like, RIDICUOLOUSLY fast. Could there be some kind of issue with like... phantom battery drain with the joycons? Thanks in advance!
