Most cases the reason for rape is less about urges, and more about power (with a dash of opportunity). There's also societal predispositions baked into the way that people are raised. If your parents, friends, neighbours, media, etc, all treat rape as a horrid thing that nobody would do, it doesn't even pop into people's heads. And even if someone does it, they get shunned, though in the general the way solarpunk societies are presented also include community support, so both the perpetrator and the victim would get support. For the perpetrator, I'd assume there'd be an involved process of the why - what's making them feel powerless, or making them think hurting others is okay, or whatever. They might need counselling, rescue from an abusive situation of their own, medication, or whatever not. It's incredibly rare to have people who genuinely cannot help themselves, in which case they'd need additional support just like anyone else who has troubles that affect themselves and those around them. There's sadists who are sadistic due to their own trauma, there's those that are such due to mental health issues, and there's very few who are like that due to the way they were born. In the last case, it could be a combined "enforced" support, as well as general community perception of "ah, that's sadistic George, be careful around him and don't be alone with him, otherwise he bakes a mean cottage pie" kinda stuff, if that makes sense?
Probably not a good idea. A big part is being able to hear when something (like a car) comes up behind you. Bone conductive would be better for that, and can still wear a hat to keep your ears warm, but still hear if there's any danger. Sanoto is the common brand, Open Run could work as well, but it depends on your location and what's being sold.
Don't even need the good looking tbh
Only within a relatively recent stretch of history, before that you only needed to pay for fancy stuff (think pyramids or castles or whatnot)
Still kinda funny how Nolan croned about historical accuracy, so he borrowed a historic ship for the movie... A historic Viking ship, that is. Also damaged it and is refusing to pay to the non-profit whose ship it is, but that's just his usual douchebaggery.
Oh, I forgot those were a thing. Ad blocking DNS does wonders
People can have more than one problem. Last time I checked, humans aren't 2D. Or even if that's the main reason the person went to therapy, perhaps they weren't looking for a "how do I turn this frown upside down" solution, instead hoping to get some advice on how to better channel their frustrations, or gain clearer focus, or just to have someone to help sort out own thoughts. There can be many reasons.
Is the reason why I have a Gmail. It's the same one I've had for a long time, last time I checked it, the unread emails count was past 9999. I wonder what Google thinks of me ๐ค
Pro tip: No matter how old you are, it's never too late to learn how to apologize.
Bad: "It's not my fault", "I was upset", "I didn't do anything wrong", "my tummy hurt", etc and so on.
Good: "I'm sorry, when I did X it [upset/disappointed/hurt/etc] you. I shouldn't have [punched/licked/posted/etc] the thing. Going forward I will be careful to [de-escalate/social distance/double check/etc]." and then do as you said.
Going aggressively on the defensive only makes you seem like more of an ahole. Everybody makes mistakes, but not everyone learns from them.
A pigeon? How dare you! That's almost as bad as calling someone an absolute walnut!
There's a journalist that did a video walking down a hallway in one of the gov buildings in Washington. One office door after the next had a "I stand with Israel" sign
It's like being psychology adjacent and having to double check which CBT do people mean
