It was called Windows SideShow I think. I’ve been eyeing an XPS 420 because I’ve never had a system with one before.
I am collecting Lego City again. One day I’ll have a full city again.
This connector seems like such a nightmare. I don’t understand why GPUs are using it.
Other articles I see for this are from 2024. I don’t think this is recent.
Like the other commenters said, the performance per watt isn’t great but if your power is cheap, that won’t matter. You should be able to get quad core Xeon chips on eBay for super cheap (I bought a pair of E5440s for $16 I think). You got plenty of RAM already for a server of that era. Does it have a PCIe power plug inside? You’ll need that for those two GPUs.
So long it has PCIe, those cards are going to be backwards compatible with it. Whether you’ll be able to get their full potential performance depends on the rest of the system. That’s a mid to late 2000s server. What are the other specifications of it?
I would 100% buy this for my cat
Good luck!! We’re all rooting for you! That sounds like a lot of fun!
IIRC it isn’t being updated anymore, the App Store listing is gone. I remember the devs posting something about burnout in the past and I’m assuming they didn’t have the time and energy to keep going on it.
Memmy was how I first got into Lemmy. Feels bad that it doesn’t exist anymore.

No, adult onset for me. I think having it develop as a kid is more common, but it does happen to adults as well.
