I'll purposely seek out videos covering topics I'm (more) familiar with, from unfamiliar content creators that I might be interested in watching more of. It helps me gauge their accuracy, confidence, and ability to simplify without losing the underlying reasoning.

When I'm browsing "everything", and see a post I want to filter out I click the three dots, then at the bottom of the popup there's a filter tab. From there you can filter out from seeing posts from that person or from that community.
It appears filtered communities are not filtered when viewing/browsing an instance.
