I am almost 40 and was recently diagnosed with adhd. I started taking Ritalin earlier this week and I have to say that I have been able to accomplish so much in my work that I was dragging my feet on before.

I work freelance, so I can just put off tasks until they are needed.

I told my brother about it today and found out that both he and his fiancee are also on psych meds. This applies to my wife's immediate family as well.

As I said, the meds work for me and things have improved a lot, but why is society setup in such a way that such a large number of people need to be medicated to be part of it?

Anyway maybe this is more of a rant, but I also wonder what percent of people in your family are on some kind of psych meds.

I was using cal.com for its teams feature. They were the best calendar system that had a pretty simple round robin assignment.

My problem is that it was pretty expensive per user, $15/user/month for a calendar system. That is around the same as my monthly user zoom costs.

Anyway, when they announced the diy version, I thought I might get to use this teams feature for free. But, they just removed it from the project instead.

I wonder if they got a lot of complaints about there being paid features locked on a self-hosted version of the software.

I have been playing this series since I was a kid. In fact Resident Evil 3 was my first game in the series.

I think the tank style games are the best ones, but I know they can be hard to get into. I think a lot of people might choose the RE1 remaster or RE2 as it is talked about so highly as their first game.

But, Resident Evil 3 on easy mode is what I recommend as the starter game so people can get used to the gameplay style.

The game has so much ammo. I basically used just the standard gun and shotgun the entire time. I did not even need to use the gunpowder system to make more ammo.

The game is also pretty short, so it is easy to get through. Once you finish playing this game, I recommend going to RE2 then 1. It is your decision to play the original vs remake.

I bought an unmodded PS3 super slim model and all the games pictured below for about $100.

I haven't been this excited about gaming in years. I never had a ps3. It was one of the few consoles I didn't own since all the way back to the nes.

First thing I did was mod it by putting hen on it so I could use my usb headset while playing since I do not have speakers connected to my monitor.

Now, I am playing the uncharted series for the first time. Out of all the games there, the only ones I have played are Skyrim, GTAV, and the last of us. I played a bit of the batman games, but not really too much of it so I consider it unplayed.

I can get more games where I live for about $6-$12. I think the PS3 is going to be my new gaming console for a while.

If you have a modded ps3, what hen compatible homebrew apps do you recommend? I do not think I will do any piracy since the games here are so cheap, but I am thinking of copying the games to an ssd and running them over a network (I think that can be done with HEN).

I have a small ssd which could hold a few games at a time and I think that will be better so I do not put too much wear on the optical drive.

Sorry, for the long post. I am just really excited about this. I have always had the opinion that gaming started going downhill in this generation.

Oh, also, what other games do you recommend I pick up?

I already have fallout 3, new vegas, god of war, and the injustice games. I have a steamdeck, but since games are so cheap, I want to build out a ps3 collection.

I finally got around to trying my first Persona game. I tried Persona 5, and right off the bat, I did not like the cinematic style of this game.

I am not really sure what it is about it, but I guess it was just not for me.

Are the other ones like this too?

I am looking for a good jrpg to get into on the switch that is not final fantasy, dragon quest, or pokemon. (I've played those a lot recently)

In my mind these are essentially the same thing. Ever since I was a kid playing Red, it annoyed me so much and I still think about it sometimes.

I have been a huge fan of the Metroid series since Fusion and have played them all over the years. The 2D ones have always been really great.

Prime 1 is one of my top games of all time. I never enjoyed Prime 2, when I was a kid or more recently as an adult. I only played Prime 3 a bit as I did not care that there were other people.

Metroid has always been about being alone and surviving.

I have been playing Metroid Prime 4 recently and It is very much the opposite of a Metroid style game. In fact, it feels quite linear and there is a lot of help telling you where to go pretty frequently.

The gameplay is not bad, but it is more like a generic shooter than a Metroid game.

What are your thoughts on the Prime series and Prime 4?

I want to watch a play through of RE9. I’ve played almost all the games in the series, but this one is kinda priced high and I want to give watching someone else play it a chance.

I’m looking for a streamer who isn’t very noisy and distracting. I hope they can be focused on the game and less on chat and stuff.

I’m hoping they take the time to look around and not just rush through everything.

Based on this, is there a streamer you recommend?

I just got into playing rom hacks and loaded up Pokemon Ultra Violet which is a romhack of firered.

When I was doing the initial quest for Oak, before getting pokeballs, I encountered a shiny pidgy. I was a bit bummed as it was my first ever shiny encounter and Ive been playing my whole life.

After giving him the parcel, I found another shiny pidgy on the same route.

I did not play gen 3 games much, so were shinies easy to find in this gen or did a i just get extremely lucky?

I just completed Voyager: Across the Unknown and I have to say that it was pretty bad.

The concept for the game is really cool, but it is pretty unfinished.

The UI is a big confusing and not at all consistent.

The tech tree is also a bit strange. I finished the game way over powered and I did not even focus on upgrading my combat abilities. There were also things on the tech tree that did not make any sense like improve your trading skills.

What is the point of trading, when you can just fly to any planet and get whatever you want?

I get the impression that this game was initially designed as a pay to win grindy mobile game and last minute they switched it to be a PC title.

When I go to a system, I scan all the planets first. Then, my team got captured on an away mission and the only way to save them was to scan different class planets. Well, I could not do that since I already scanned them.

It is really unbalanced and quickly becomes repetitive. There isn’t even a way to save the game. It auto saves kind of randomly.

Overall, I give this a 3/10. If it was patched a lot and rebalanced, it could have been a good game.

At the very least, it was nice to revisit the voyager story in a concise kind of way.

It’s really dangerous to ride a bike on the roads in my 3rd world city even walking is dangerous due to bike lanes basically being ignored, motorcycles weaving around traffic, and poor nighttime lighting.

I just thought that dedicated bike/walking only roads connecting the major parts of my city would be a big boost for safety and I think it would greatly reduce the amount of people using cars.

Has this been tried somewhere else? Was it successful?
