If anyone is interested in the history of US and UK involvement in this Island and the degree of fucked-upness, I recommend listening to the Behind the Bastards episodes on it:

UBI is supposed to cover basic needs, no? It doesn't mean you'll get the funds to cover the things you do to stave off boredom or fill your life with meaning. Thus people still work making, installing, and doing the less pleasing jobs, but there's no longer the "work or starve in an alleyway" pressure in the background. It also provides leverage against abusive employers, as you don't need the job to make rent and groceries. (Though people are willing to withstand a lot of abuse to reach their goals as well)

Long story short, the claims get much longer and restrictive through the application process. The example you asked about is currently undergoing a non-final rejection, and the claims will get much more restrictive in further iterations (assuming that the application has actual merit somewhere in the original dependent claims)

You can check the application history here: Global Dossier

DALLE-3 Prompt: can you make an illustration of jesus as a baby dressed up as santa claus. He's handing out gifts to a colony of meerkats. the illustration is cartoonish, colorful, and festive

As a latino I wanted to see how DALLE combined "el niño Dios" and Santa :P
