artix enjoyers unite π
artix has been my goto for older computers, void
in future maybe guix?
i have been using Gemma4 for general purpose, and Qwen3-Coder-Next for coding
i'm always interested in small models (under ~8b) too for CPU or phone use
i may start using non local models like GLM5.2 or Kimi, since it would be nice to have "claude-level" LLM output (i don't use proprietary models)
and TBH, "use WSL" or "use docker" are good answers too
cross platform meaning FOSS OS (BSDs, linux, androids)
though it's often easy to make it support proprietary OS with little-to-no dev time, and the idea of spreading FOSS to those trapped in proprietary OSes is good too
if i might suggest: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/
Luanti (formerly minetest) surprised i didn't see it brought up (also, it's FOSS!)
let me break it down for you mark ππΊπͺ©
we can be bees ππ
yeah i use two (Amber & Citrine) morganite makes me curious, right now i use a specific blossom server
i think using amber is best practice (especially if you use other clients) and citrine is just so my data is a little backed up
i also have samiz installed (bluetooth nostr mesh) but i don't typically run it
honestly i should have reacted with a more whimsical emoji than 'π'
next time π€¦ββοΈ
i initially read this as "middle ages" (like the 5th century) and was so confused
