My PC does not have WiFi, only Ethernet. If I unplug the Ethernet it's totally offline. No AI, no amount of coding till your blue in the face can miraculously make the software do something that it doesn't have the hardware for. As you said, contained in a offline sandbox is just horse shit. Whole things a PR stunt.

Every month or two there's a article about how "such and such ai model broke containment". Their trying to make their ai sound like it's too powerful and has to be held back before it can be released. Talk about fucking fake hype man, just trying to keep investors throwing money at them because "you won't believe what's around the corner!!!!"

I felt the same way when I was young, was so happy to run a later routine as I got older. Then I got to the point where my job required an earlier attendance, and now I go early voluntarily because I'd rather be up at 5am and be home before dark while still making OT than be in later and get home too late to enjoy my evening! Maybe my bio clocks changing, but it took me about 2 years to get my schedule shifted over comfortably to the point that this is my new norm. For my first couple years working 8am I was miserable. Idk maybe getting older has made me more flexible in that regard!

Don't forget how many transactions have been impacted by the tarrifs. Hell we lost on some fixed price jobs at my work because we priced things before the tarrifs went in and by the time we ordered we were basically paying to finish a promised job. People need not be mad at Nintendo, this issue was caused by the pedophile in chief.

That's awesome good for you! I'm in the USA, I had a full tuition scholarship but still had to pirate/ buy textbooks, and as a commuter had to keep up with my car and feed myself. Wasn't terribly fun doing college + 25 hours a week of work and still being broke and never having free time but I got it done without burying myself in hundreds of thousands of debt like some of my friends that just took loans out for education.

All it takes is routine, I'm already half an hour into my work day before the time you state no human is ready by. When I was younger and delivered pizzas till 11pm, 730 am felt early. Now if I wake up at 10am I feel like I pissed half my day away, and I have a tough time sleeping past 7 on weekends unless I have been up all night. Time is nothing but a concept and how late or early u do things bears no significance once you make it routine!

When Republicans didn't have the majority they believed in "small govt state rights" so they could do whatever they want in their red bubbles. Now that they hold all the cards, their pro government so they can force their ways in blue bubbles. Not the best way of articulating my point but that's my thoughts on when they switched. Next time we have a blue majority, they will be pro small govt and anti fed again. Always been this way pretty much on both sides of the aisle.

This. My father did 12 years as an officer and took a severance package while getting the military to pay for his PhD. Now he's a professor. My father had a ROUGH and real poor upbringing, and military was the only way out of that hole. He only originally joined because he got my mother pregnant and needed a job that would cover medical and military has about the best healthcare you can get, not to mention the opportunity for education and such. If you live in America and want to benefit from socialist practices that are more common in other countries, you can join the military or you can move 🤷‍♂️

In a functioning democracy we wouldn't have these damn things to begin with!
