Look forward to following this but unfortunately I doubt the outcome will introduce any new precedent around duress passwords. There's enough nuance here the guy might beat the charges. But in a straight case of being required by a judge to provide your password, giving a duress password would almost certainly be destruction of evidence.

Security on android ereaders is definitely disappointing. My Boox palma 2 only supports pins, not passwords. And unfortunately I don't think a pure eink would work for me. The xteink has me curious if you could make firmware to "leech" off grapheneOS' security by doing something like an SMB share to avoid having potentially pirated books unencrypted.
What I'd personally love to see is an X4 sized device with NFC, wireless charging, and Lora for meshtastic.
Worth noting that when we hit these temperatures the humidity is usually 5% so we may have a record headline but I'll honestly take this over hot and humid any day.

They've described it as "TOR mixed with IPFS without the crypto." Uses a DHT similar to torrents with built in secure routing reminiscent of TOR. Importantly, it's not a VPN, but designed to be built into the applications themselves. All apps powered by Veilid also contribute to the network and can be assigned any role in "the onion." The most important pitch is that by being built into apps it can bring very strong privacy and security to the layperson, though app developers still need to address things like ensuring users retain access to data without email recovery etc.
Ha. For those that don't get the joke obviously there's cryptograpy, but not cryprocurrenty like IPFS uses.
