I spent 2021-2022 programming for great salaries ($4000-6000 per month is a lot in Latin America and Europe) and then in October 2022 I got laid off due to a massive company downscale and I was left somewhat depressed. I found it very hard to even start looking for another job. However, courtesy of Nepotism™️, I got invited to some random managerial thing in Europe for €3500/mo and it's not as amazing as the old one I had but it's pretty awesome here, I don't know any other programmer here that earns nearly as much. Solves all my problems at once except my mental health. 🎊

Can't remember tbh. Adhd + disoriented in a new platform = I just click any link and hope for the best and immediately forget where I came from.

I do remember I saw it mentioned many times and visited a few. I thought it was just another Linux instance, then I realized it had a bit more of a freeish/weird vibe and decided to see what was up. Can't remember how things went that I decided to sign up. Probably something to do with nsfw being disabled for outsiders and me wanting to see what was up.

(to be fair, the Burger logo did disorient me a lot)
