Surprisingly not as bad as I thought it would be, this is on a 250/100 connection

Unfortunately content on Lemmy is very hit or miss, I actually upgraded the connection from 50mbps upload because the first like 1-2 hours that the content is uploaded it gets absolutely hammered then it slowly drops off till after 12 hours it's just a slow trickle

And even within that first 1-2 hours, if you click play you might get a full speed upload but then suddenly 6 people might all click play at once and saturate the link

But given that I'm uploading terabytes and it's not costing my server admins any cash I think it's ok and I'd rather not sign up to cloudflare

If bunny cdn offers a basic free tier then maybe

Just putting this here, there is some MEGA stuff you can win for donating to UFL this week, the $10 pack I think is the best I've ever seen them put up:

    There is 3 tiers:

    $2 Tender Tuesday

    $5 pack

and the massive $10 42nd pack

Last week was a very welcome surprise to us all. It put a big dent into the tacmed fundraiser and we wanted to thank you and possibly close out that tacmed campaign.

So far you've funded UFL and Protect A Volunteer's in-country stashes, for those times when a team needs 20 CATs and can't wait; 100 CATs for the 125th; IFAK refills for an SOF team called Black Talon; and $5K worth of tacmed for some teams who have been going into battle without enough tourniquets for every guy to carry one. We still have a request for $2900 in tacmed from the 17th SOF and $2500 in tacmed for a team with the 60th. Hence the goal of this week's raffle: $5500.

If we hit it, any excess will be used to buy yet more tacmed.

We hope you like what we have for you this week. UFL_Arcaist has pulled some awesome stuff for you.

Russian troops testing a new anti-drone 'mobile fire unit' almost killed one of their own soldiers when a repurposed helicopter machine gun spun out of control and sprayed bullets across a training ground.

In video widely shared by military bloggers this week, a Yak-B 12.7mm heavy machine gun, hastily mounted on a flatbed truck, can be seen whipping round at high speed, hurling the primary gunner from his position and sending live fire in all directions during an undisclosed exercise.

All I have to say: 🤣
