The trailer doesn’t look like a spoof. I assume they just thought it was a fun idea to do an homage poster.

It WOULD be hilarious to promote it like a straight movie and then make it be a spoof when you get there. But I sadly doubt it.

Seconding that last part. Economic times are tough and some people have other priorities rather than processing power. I have seen more than a few decent gaming rigs in my area selling for less than $500 on FB marketplace. They go fast and obviously beware of scams, but they are out there still.
