what numbers we do have point to more being unhappy than not
given the amount of unhappily married boomers and younger i’ve seen, kinda hard not to still see this as a net positive
and i say this as someone happily married for more than a decade but i feel like it’s survivorship bias on my part to ignore the vast amount of people with miserable relationships
because english is a trash language but pedants enjoy gatekeeping too much

we’re not special
we’ve treated numerous people in various nations the same way
not every Russian is pro pootin but plenty in the US cheer at deaths over the war with Ukraine and America’s current behavior affects many more directly than that conflict
best you get used to being treated like the heel, it’s only going to get worse
