Why is a Republican taking photos of people in the bathroom again? Isn't their ankle tracker for the last sexual assault conviction working?
Someone purposefully drove in a crowd at Pride today in my city. Aside from more rioting, what's it going to take to get the TERFs and related scumbags to just leave people alone?
Online personalities are all too often broad brushing for likes. Many of them are racist themselves so they'll seize any opportunity to throw that accusation at another.
My beef was with the way the Argentine team acted on the pitch and after the whistle. They did not play with good sportsmanship. Turning their backs on the winning team during the lift (except that one player who faced the stage with good character) was the last straw for me. Argentina's team had massive help from the refs in earlier games and acted like spoiled jerks. What this says about Argentina as a whole is nothing, but the team they sent were mostly assholes.
Straight out of Rainbow's End. This timeline sucks.
That's a man whose browser history is going to include criminal offenses.
If only that were true across the city. The grey vs red is mostly true (some areas don't have that clear of a delineation). There's also some green roads that are bike-priority spaces.
Too much of the tram routes are completely shared with cars and don't have signal priority for the trams. This causes lots of bunching and delays when cars just choose to not leave the tram rails to wait for turning lights. Those intersections need some serious overhauls (Looking the ones between Chausseestraße and Hbf).
If the city would remove more parking on side streets to open that space up for people and slim down the number of car lanes passing through areas it would help a ton. The whole idea of continuing to build the A100 through the city is insane given the last 80 years of evidence saying it's bad for the city, the people, the climate, and the drivers. That's very much an old model of thinking that the leadership is dangling in front of the conservatives to keep them happy at the expense of everyone.
Berlin can do better.
Berlin was on such a great path by giving more space to people instead of to cars. Too bad the rich people are winning the debate and taking back what little gains the general public made.
90% of all trips taken inside the Ring are done without a car, but cars get about 25% of the public space. Transferring more of that car space to bikes would enable even more efficient transit for multi-kilometer trips.
Even a city like Amsterdam, which is lauded for bike transit, is still 15-18% dedicated to cars. Berlin can do so much better with less car space, more pedestrian/cars, and densifying more of the housing construction.
Anything but taxing the rich people. Our monthly transit costs are already high. Instead of taxing the people with all of the money, let's make it even harder to afford having children! I'm sure that'll encourage people to have more kids.
The CDU isn't interested in your wellbeing.
No joke, I've see websites that do that kind of thing. They'll actually turn off features (or the whole site) on non working days.
According to the US Congress reports, 75-80% of all political violence in the US is right-wing originated.

So, let's go after the 20-25%, who are also less effective at causing serious harm. /s
Yup, fascists are calling from inside the House.
Shit. I've been on Debian for decades now. Maybe I'm just an old soul... Or I'm just lazy. I don't even configure my DE anymore. The OS install of today will be wiped in no time, so it's not worth being too attached.
I did a tour with OpenBSD about 2000-2004. It works just fine, with a much reduced ecosystem of pre built packages, just because of the quantity of devs around.
I saw Dragonfly when it started and I'm glad to hear it's still going. The idea held a lot of promise.
