I tried XMPP but could not find a client that let me have a "video call" where I could share my screen without also needing a webcam. Or even have a video call where not everyone is forced to have a video flux. As far as I can tell an audio call cannot be turned into a video call for 1 streamer.

Like in Discord where one want to share its screen while playing. XNPP was my biggest hope to replace Discord with my friend but I either did not find the correct client or the ecosystem is not mature enough (or oriented in the direction I expected).

Its funny. "Oh the earth is about to explode? Only show it crack in the USA". Makes me feel safe knowing how much it is fictionnal and in no way related to me.

The globe, someone is painting it fully blue except for mainland America (even Alaska is under waters). The title read "How aliens see earth in movies". All of this in a tweet with the caption: "Aliens: This? This is your leader?" from bluecranium the 2023-08-19

I'm interested by these ways to deal with this issue. Do you have examples of thing I could do to improve the online team mood I'm a member of?

Right now I'm 2 days WFH, but could still be valuable since I'm looking for 100% WFH next.

Do "foundational changes" mean they will play games on WSL hoping the "hyperV, WSL(inux), proton, game, WSLg (Wayland)" chain will have less slowdown than the "Windows, game, directX" route?

At least if they do it performance will stay on par with SteamOS as long as hyperV doesn't bloat too much.

As I saw in a youtube video (that I won't be able to find again), no.

If you sell your game through Steam, you cannot have it cheaper anywhere else. Even DRM free version on your website. Even temporary sales.

I suppose there are some sort of exception for bundles since you technically do not sell the same psckage when bundled with someone else.

Otherwise games would be cheaper on GOG, Itch, ... that take a smaller cut.

But any source code leak is also open sourcing in that world.

You cannot prevent someone from "hacking" the hardware they buy to use it from a PC instead of being forced to use an app.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way I understand it.
