I've been thinking about this since the announcement from Sony. I see alot of friends complaining when I fully know they have massive steam libraries and no optical drives.

And I think it comes down too we have Steam. Steam is run by Valve a non public company with no shareholders. And Valve not only says but does. They keep things open and accessible. Game removed from Steam, that's file you can still download it and play. Things like GoG where you can get an offline installer. And we can pirate probably fits in There some where

But console you only have the maker and not a single one can be trusted. Sony removed movies and TV shows a couple times at this point.

I think you are confusing SimCitys. SimCity 4 came out in 2003. Where there was a SimCity that came out in 2013 that had had those issues. I got a free game out of it, BF3 maybe. But imma be real I don't remember the SimCity 4 launch, I do recall the SimCity 2013 launched and it was bad. Haven't bought an EA game since.

I hear you. I preloaded my Steam with 150cad. During the steam deck pre order the hold up when the website worked was payment processors.

FYI you have never owned a game. It's always been a license. Even when it was physical. It's the same for GoG too sep you get an installer for later. It's still only a license.

Also Steam did not give us DRM. DRM has existed for decades before steam was made.

It's real, has some of the best digging I've seen in any game. I'm not a streamer or anything. Just like digging with heavy equipment. Spent alot of timing modding Farming Sim to do till I found Out of Ore.

I just moved over to Linux and I'm trying to move my save right now.

Highly recommend the game Out of Ore. Not only do you diggy big holes. You do it with heavy equipment.

My 10 was kind of forgotten about. But my 15 year they let me choose something within a budget. I found something over budget and ask to cover the difference. They said no. You can just have it.
