I don't know about VSCodium specifically since I use VSCode, but it does allow you to disable all AI features. Don't know about telemetry.
I've tried a couple times to get into Octopath Traveler and fell off it both times. I'm not sure why. I feel like I'd probably like it if I gave it a chance. The first time I think I stopped after getting every character the second time I think I stopped after finishing a couple chapters on a few characters. Is there an order people usually get characters in? That I think was part of it for me the second time. I started with Ophelia and that felt like a bad choice.
Yeah it very regularly goes on sale on Steam. There's a bundle of 1 and 2 coming out for Switch 2 in October. So that's a better deal for sure.
P4 Revival is coming out in February so I'd probably just wait for that at this point. You can start with pretty much any of them. They're all distinct games with their own mechanics, characters, and stories. I've only played P4G and P5R but both of them are very good! I plan to get to P3R eventually.
I mean I'm glad we didn't get PM PP but let's be real Carney is kind of shit.
And now the industry is facing the most severe hardware crisis in its history.

A couple I can remember really enjoying at the time that were not well reviewed and yeah probably are bad.
- Resident Evil: Outbreak
- Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain
I don't remember a whole lot about either of these but do remember playing them a lot.
Final Fantasy XIII I don't think it's actually a bad game, and thought so at the time too. There's a lot of revisionist history with this one. I see so many discussions now of people being like yeah it's a great game I love it. Where were all these people at when it came out? XIII-2 is...weird. I think I prefer XIII, but like both. I've never finished Lightning Returns but enjoyed what I played.
The US has won several times even!
This kind of attitude completely ignores the fact that there are vulnerable people who are very susceptible to the sycophantic nature of GenAI. There are multiple reported instances of people being convinced to kill themselves or others by GenAI. AI companies won't do anything about this kind of thing unless they are forced to.
No. This is absolutely the wrong attitude. AI companies must be held accountable for all the horrible shit AI is doing.
I think you missed the key part of what the person you replied to said: common. It is not common knowledge. Yes some people who have done extensive research and spent hundreds of hours on this stuff might have a somewhat good understanding of how LLMs and GenAI work. Do you think just your average person using Google has any idea how it works? No, no they do not.
It's been almost ten years since the announcement of the second season! I honestly forgot about the re-announcement and thought it had just been cancelled.
Yep that's exactly it for me. I played Remake on PS5 but the wait between Remake and Rebirth was really long, and I don't even have a PS5 anymore so it was even longer. By the time Rebirth came out on PC/Switch 2 I was just like eh never mind, I'll wait for the whole trilogy now.
