Exposing is pretty clear code for doxxing. Example 1, example 2. But sure, let's assume this is acceptable behavior to root out AdmiralPatrick and any associates, McCarthy style. Based on literally what? Tertiarily disagreeing with a server that has LGBT people? 99% of Lemmy is LGBT people.

If this was about "exposing" evidence of bigotry, well, no evidence was provided.

    All you've done is make accusations of bigotry without proof, then turn them into a call to action against a person and their "friends".

    If you can be this flippant and disingenuous in public, I can only imagine what people like you are saying in private DMs.

    I found a couple explainers about the situation and it's all starting to make more sense. If there's anything defensible, it's maybe the idea of including things to block out of the box (and that's sure up for debate!), but the secretive nature of this combined with the attempt to DDoS db0 is just beyond bad.
