I don't know a lot of the ins and outs, but I have someone really close to me in vet med! He's taken care of and had friends with epileptic pets. You can DM me if you want and I can try to relay some questions!

I've made so many ventures into art and food involving harvesting and processing resources I get from nature around me, but none of them ever seem to work out. I'm in the midatlantic US and I see beautiful things to work with all the time but I feel I get discouraged easily. I personally have struggled with processing dogbane, getting pulp from rosehips, and learning what to use and how to weave or lash. I've had a good deal of success with foraging though! What kinds of things have you all been struggling with? Maybe we can help each other :)

Phone screens are really awful for drawing for me. I could use notebooks! I have no real excuse there. With music I want to play instruments again but where I live has lots of roomies and thin walls. I most want to pick up the saxophone again and there actually exist electronic saxophones where you can hook up earbuds but they're so incredibly far out of my price range!

I'm really bad at drawing and music. I'd love to improve both, but with drawing I haven't put in any time and music I'm too self conscious to practice in our living situation.

This is deadnettle that I used to cook with along with onion grass and wild garlic in college!

I also found a chestnut tree in the woods at college and it was so fun roasting them :)

This is early in its life cycle but young garlic mustard (terribly invasive where I live) is also decent as seasoning.

Another young plant that's only really good to eat when young is fiddlehead ferns! Specifically ostrich ferns are the best to eat around here and I blanch them, then sautee like asparagus!

One of my favorite foods that I've foraged is a kind of jelly mushroom! I'll post pics of it growing and then after my partner and I prepared them.

This one doesn't look like a plant but it is! Ghostpipe doesn't have chlorophyll because it's parasitic and actually feeds off the roots of other plants. They're fragile enough that touching them is often enough for them to die. I do know some people use them medicinally in tinctures but I don't know anything proving or disproving that.

I have a lot more but these are my faves and this post is already so long lol
