This watch is so sick!

I know, everything I gaming is such a known quantity these days. I miss the sense of mystery and discovery in these old MMORPGs. I feel like I’ve been chasing the feeling of playing early WoW for like 20 years. I think the Souls games have probably came the closet to scratching that itch in recent times.

That’s so cool.

I didn’t get to play much EverQuest (I played a lot of WoW though), but it seemed like people forming very deep companionships through MMORPGs was very common.

I don’t play many online games anymore in my old age and decrepitude, but do people still form these kinds of relationships via online gaming?

Also, I was first to introduce EverQuest to my friend group, but never played much due to the subscription requirement. One of my best friends, however, became totally addicted and dropped out of college because of the game. I always felt a little responsible for that…

I'm a teacher and do this with positive feedback I receive from my students. It helps whenever I dark out and feel like I can't cut it as an educator any longer.

I recall taking an anthropology class in college where we learned about an ethnic group in China known as the Musuo. The Musuo had a belief that once humans had a very short lifespan and dogs much longer lifespan. The Musuo believe that at some point in history, dogs traded lifespans with people so humans could live longer. Since dogs provided this service to humanity, the Musuo highly revere dogs in their culture. I always thought that was a very touching bit of mythology.

For whatever reason, every time I read Bloom County, I am always impressed by the way he draws people's hair.

I've been in love with the Los Angeles album for a long time, but lately I've been finding myself listening to Under the Big Black Sun album more and more. I'm also a fan of their fourth album The New World.

In my opinion, wearing a watch is a way to accessorize and add a little bit of individual style. It's also nice to just not have to look at your phone for something. This is especially true since there is often so many other things happening on a smart phone competing for attention.
