I love swiping, but swiping mistypes are significantly harder to decipher in comparison to classic mistypes:

When you peck separate buttons, your mistype usually creates a distorted, but recognizable word and your brain is pretty good in filtering out that noise.

When you are sliding however, mistypes create a real, but completely different word, so you need to squint not at the word, but at the whole sentence - to restore the meaning.
