I can't seem to find much more detail on this particular story outside of the article, but it reminds me of that other lawsuit where a woman sued McDonald's because the coffee was "too hot". Of course everyone dogged on this person because "hurr hurr Karen of course coffee is hot", but it turned out the beverage was boiling and she actually suffered second and third degree burns. This context was left out of the initial reporting, and because of that she was harassed and mocked.

I suspect that this might be the same case here so I think I might reserve judgement before assuming she's lazy, or greedy / stupid for suing.

Also, I've been in a situation where I was alienated and constantly looking for work. It's not as fun as it sounds, and going through that experience for 20 years feels like a nightmare to me.

Also the analogy doesn't make sense. AOC is not saying "hey mass shooter have a bulletproof vest." she's saying "hey officer, why don't you take away that mass shooter's gun instead of their bulletproof vest?"

I never said that only Israeli propaganda is allowed, not sure why you are bringing that up. I don't speak for CBS either.

Let's at least try to agree on the facts as follows:

    • Israel has murdered Palestinian people and committed all sorts of atrocities (kidnapping, rape, etc.)
    • Hamas has murdered Israeli people and committed all sorts of atrocities (kidnapping, rape, etc.)
    • Israel has committed more atrocities than Hamas. It's genocide, no doubt about it. Absolutely fucked up.
    • Hamas is a terrorist organization that doesn't speak for all Palestinians, and Palestinians don't deserve to be murdered and displaced from their homes because of Hamas' actions.

I think it's important and meaningful to remember that these facts don't cancel each other out. I think it shouldn't be a nuanced take to denounce both these groups. Obviously the Israeli government needs to answer for the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. That doesn't mean that we should blindly champion Hamas, which is what Hasan does regularly.

That is all I am saying. Hope you are well and hope you agree, take care.

I don't necessarily disagree but Hasan literally plays Hamas propaganda videos on his streams. Is it really too niche to promote the views of people who don't like Israel committing genocide and also don't like Hamas?
