I think they refer to them as "exes". Lol.

I don't know about activity and I notice lemmy.world is often down andnit wasn't due to the apps. But sync is definitely cleaner and easy to use.

Discord has its uses but it's very much not the same. I often can't even find my question I asked an hour later.
