I’m considered mid career. I went to a conference and about 50% of the talks were about job seeking. Very telling, usually this conference is filled with researchers presenting their findings. Big yikes. My advice for cyber folks trying to get started: good luck. It’s rough out here.

I started watching out of boredom. Thornton plays an even more degenerate version of his character in Bad Santa.

Even watching with no background or expectations, I wouldn’t say it’s propaganda. It’s consumable media, not a docu series.

Agree big time. Or order directly from the restaurant. I usually call, then pick up. I get the food faster, and I know nobody has tampered with it.

Only time I’d even consider using delivery app is if my extremely sick. Even then, I have some canned soups ready to go.

Every medication has a long list of adverse effects that could happen. So from your position, all drugs are bad for everyone. And nobody should take or be prescribed any drugs for any reason.

This doesn’t not mean they are not safe. People are not dying from these drugs. They aren’t causing harm to people. And places like the EU and Canada (or any place with a very strict drug regulations) would pull them from pharmacies if they truly were not safe. And doctors prescribe drugs based on the fact that the benefit outweighs the side effects.

Mental health drugs can shave years off people’s lives because they are so hard on the kidneys and liver. But taking those drugs gives people the ability to be productive in society. And the reduced lifespan is seen as a net positive for each person.

I am always happy to be educated on a topic I am not an expert in. But it seems like you just have prejudice for whatever reason and have no good sources or research journals to back up your claims.

I quit 10 years ago because the bots were insane. The discourse was polarizing and truly showed how uneducated the masses are. Either that or my feeds were mostly bots made for engagement bait. I only miss some of the local pages I belonged to. But even those were filled with rage bait and the ignorant.

It always humored me to argue with someone in my neighborhood online only for them to completely be jovial to me in person. When I’d bring up their idiotic arguments they’d just walk away. Being outed as the village idiot in person still worked. But online, it was celebrated.

About 4-5 years ago, I noticed Reddit was catching up to that point in time when I quit facebook and Instagram. Bots, people who just want to see the world burn and a lack of serious and respectful discussion. Not that Reddit was ever respectful. But I’d find very insightful TIL or AMAs. It’s all disappeared.

Buying anything from Amazon. I canceled my Amazon prime over 20 years ago.

I was a heavy Amazon user. It was $60 for the year and when they changed the pantry from anything that fits into the box with free shipping to not free shipping i decided it’s time to quit.

Also, when I heard that the warehouse inventory is all co-mingled, so even if you buy your skin care and vitamins from the “official” retailer store there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a genuine product. I vowed to never buy anything from amazon that I would consume or put on my body. Even cleaning products, I’ve received fraudulent products. Once you know what to look for, it’s quite easy to spot.

I buy from Amazon maybe once a year. And it’s typically only for something I can’t find elsewhere. Like a specific gift a friend or family sends a link for.

Hey Beehaw! I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with building Yocto Recipes to utilize OP-TEE and has some time to help out someone who is a bit lost.

I'm a cybersecurity person, so very interested in how OPTEE can create a trust zone for processing data. I want to use that for sensor data on device that run Yocto. I don't have a lot of experience in coding. But I'd really like to build a project that protects integrity of sensors.

The HW and SW I'm running is this: https://dev.variscite.com/var-som-mx8m-nano/yocto/yocto-build-release/
