The kicker is that who you vote for locally is also the party/leader you're voting for at the provincial/federal level and that's a terrible system.

This kind of approach is why the NDP hasn't had any presence in Ontario for years. Many people took the attitude of "I'll never vote NDP again" because of Bob Rae. Guess what.... Different people can have different ideas and priorities, even if they belong to the same political party.

This is a perfect example of why things are very unlikely to change. Too many people have too little faith in things actually changing, so it remains conservatives vs liberals
