So far, all of these "model breaches containment" stories have been fake.

But if one actually did, than that would be a signal to drop AI and nuke data centers from orbit.

This is not the genius-level marketing OpenAI thinks it is.

    And if stopping them were that easy, why hasn't it happened yet?

    One thing I have noticed is a lot of AI-bros will brag that they automated workflows, or refactored code with AI. If they were really smart and/or had good processes, they would have done those things without AI a long time ago.

    On the other hand, if AI and griftocurrency sink each other, I am fine with that.

    I think that after it is all said and done and after all the money Bryan Johnson spends to live forever, I think the end result will be: exercise, good diet, no alcohol, no tobacco, no drugs. He will still be pushing his product, but the basic advice will be what we already know.
