MrManager is like the cool evening/night shift manager lol. Fairly hands off, no stress, lets adults be adults and handle it. The whole ‘I trust you unless you give me a reason not to.’ Low key gets shit done without you even noticing. It ain’t for everybody, but that’s the type of management style I vibe with. Hats off to you, sir. o7

One of the fishes done for his art exhibit called “Cleared,” featuring cleared and stained fish. More from the exhibit here!

"Cleared" fish are fish rendered translucent by a combination treatment: hydrogen peroxide to dissolve dark pigments, a digestive enzyme called trypsin to dissolve the flesh apart from collagen in the fish's skin and skeleton and glycerin to make skin and connective issue appear invisible. The technique Summers uses to clear and stain fish has been common practice of researchers for decades and relies on two dies: Alcian blue, which gives cartilage a blue hue, and Alizarin Red S, a red dye that acts on bone. Years ago, I found this cobblestone on the street in Brussels with the golden inscription “I USED TO BE A MOUNTAIN.” Like a speech bubble rising from a choked rock. After all these years, I still haven’t been able to find out who made it—there’s no record of it anywhere as a listed artwork. I see it now as a poetic intervention by an anonymous city dweller.
