I have to pass through at least 3 to leave my neighborhood. I hate it. I want to cut them down or otherwise destroy them, but I have absolutely no clue how to do it without getting caught and landing myself in jail. I've tried to look up a tutorial or guide on tor, but it really is just entirely drug trafficking and honey pots on there.

I felt that. I thought I had some ADHD tendencies like every one has. The people making ADHD content online are describing generic everyday experiences that everyone has. Just pandering bull shit to make people feel unique from everyone else. But I didn't need some diagnosis - I just had some tendencies like everyone!

And then I started therapy for some PTSD and depression symptoms following hurricane Helene. The therapist clued in pretty quickly to other issues in my life. This eventually led to my seeing a psychologist. I started talking to him and it took a medical doctor telling me that I was not processing the world normally to even suspect that I may actually have ADHD. I wasn't totally convinced though. So, I started to talk to my friends about how they spend their time, how they engage with their hobbies, what do they really mean when they say something went by quickly or that something took forever. What were they actually doing when they said that they did some task for hours. Turns out, we were certainly not on the same wavelength about things. I started meditation a week ago and the results are game changing.

Work? Easier. Mood? Happier. House? Cleaner.

My 10 year old son commented that I was nicer than normal. He was excited that I was able to sit with him and watch him show me something in a videogame. Normally, I can only stand that for maybe 30 seconds to 60 seconds. The other day, I probably watched him play dead cells for 20 minutes! It was great bonding time.

So, if you find this stuff relatable, there maybe a reason beyond common platitudes of the human experience. Talk to a doctor and see if there may be something to it.

This is the album that introduced me to the black keys. A cashier at my local gas station gave me a bootleg CD and told me to check it out. Back in the before times when your algorithm was an overnight gas station cashier with an eclectic taste in music and a disc burner.

Different person, but isn't this already a problem with closed source games? My game dev experience is more hobbyist than professional, but I've spent a few lonely hours on ghidra. I also teach secure coding at my university, but I focus more on how to patch legacy systems and audit code for vulnerabilities. My point is that closed source vs open source, I see this as an issue in both systems and therefore irrelevant. Pardon my ignorance on this exact topic.

    [Premier Guitar]

"Our columnist asks his favorite acoustic players how their hometowns, new and old, have changed the music they make.

As musicians, we tend to put most of our mental energy into the “next thing”: that next song, show, tour, or piece of gear. The beauty of music-making is that there is always somewhere new to go, but it’s also important to remember that we all came from somewhere. In this column, I connect with some excellent acoustic players about the places that shaped their playing and their craft, where they started and where their music has taken them."

Featured Artists: Micah Blue Smaldone, Charlie Rauh, Rosali, James Elkington, and Nathan Salsburg

Facebook and Youtube pages appear to be completely rebranded.

I hope that Colin isn't selling off or stepping away from the channel. He has produced great content for years. His pragmatic approach to gear selection and maintenance combined with simple and easy-to-understand explanations made him a valuable asset to the community. I know that I've learned a lot about how my gear works and how to best select and modifier gear to get the effect that I want thanks directly to CSGuitars.

See title - very frustrating. There is no way to continue to use the TV without agreeing to the terms. I couldn't use different inputs, or even go to settings from the home screen and disconnect from the internet to disable their services. If I don't agree to their terms, then I don't get access to their new products. That sucks, but fine - I don't use their services except for the TV itself, and honestly, I'd rather by a dumb TV with a streaming box anyway, but I can't find those anymore.

Anyway, the new terms are about waiving your right to a class action lawsuit. It's weird to me because I'd never considered filing a class action lawsuit against Roku until this. They shouldn't be able to hold my physical device hostage until I agree to new terms that I didn't agree at the time of purchase or initial setup.

I wish Roku TVs weren't cheap walmart brand sh*t. Someone with some actual money might sue them and sort this out...

EDIT: Shout out to @testfactor@lemmy.world for recommending the brand "Sceptre" when buying my next (dumb) TV.

EDIT2: Shout out to @0110010001100010@lemmy.world for recommending LG smart TVs as a dumb-TV stand in. They apparently do require an agreement at startup, which is certainly NOT ideal, but the setup can be completed without an internet connection and it remembers input selection on powerup. So, once you have it setup, you're good to rock and roll.
