YouTube a while back enforced some Captcha thing that broke yt-dlp without some other dependency. I'm on mobile right now and don't have the info on hand, but long story short I had the same issue and fixed it by downloading with dependencies.

I don't entirely disagree with all of this persons points, but then they praise EGS and M$ as somehow better? Valve has plenty of issues, but they are definitely a shining beacon of light in contrast to the void that is pretty much any other storefront (GOG being an exception that they also recognize). Like, I agree that their promises of contingency plans regarding Steam DRM seem like a lie at this point, but every other store (except GOG) does this and Valve has done plenty of good for PC gaming otherwise. Steaminput works fine for me and I love that SteamOS is a viable alternative to M$, and all the good stuff is free.

I know it's a trilogy, which is not what you're looking for, but since there is not much here I thought I'd throw it in anyway. Prince of Thorns is great grimdark. Sadly I think a lot of fantasy fiction is trilogies, so might be hard to find. Somehow a different Mark Lawrence book is on that article you linked, but not this one? That's insanity. Lawrence is one of my favorite authors.

They look cool, but I am kind of disappointed about how expensive they are for plastic mugs. I also have a bit of a pet peeve about established companies using Kickstarter. But I like Ghost Ship so not too much shade.

I hate dictator Trump as much as the next guy, but what he's saying here is 'they rigged the election in 2020, but now that means I get to host the Olympics during this term'. He's just keeping up the lie about how he lost to Biden

I'm really hoping that this was done in a way that lets someone just mod it back in trivially or something.

Also obligatory fuck nintendo. For so many reasons, including this.

Sadly this is probably impossible at this point. Before their whole fiasco discontinuing the desktop app there was a procedure I did where I was able to download a super old version of the desktop app and use Chrome to get into the dev interface (or something like that) of the app, then use a script someone made to export everything. Maybe if you search around you can find some way to do this with the mobile app, but I am not optimistic.

One of my favorite things about the long Sanderson books is that even though they are SO LONG, they are paced so well that I never felt like it was too long. All the building up in the middle is important and enjoyable (at least to me), and it all wraps up so quickly and nicely at the end of every book.

My re-read for Stormlight Archive has been taking longer than I figured it would, so I just started Rhythm of War this morning. I even got Wind and Truth delivered a day early, but didn't get to start it lol.
