Yeah 'others' might be petty small minded shit heads who should mind their own fucking business and conduct themselves politely in polite society.

Fuckin 'OThErS mAy nOt ObLiGe', get the fuck out with that mealy mouthed shit. Try it in the real world and see how even more 'others' might respond to your shitty behaviour :D

MLK, Nelson Mandela, Helen of Troy, the American revolution, the IRA, the entire history of Europe, the suffragettes, stonewall, Rosa parks, countless hunger strikers in prison, conscientious objectors throughout recorded history, Malcolm x, anyone persecuted under Jim crow, Rosa Luxembourg, Nadia Rumad. Off the top of my head.

You really asked if there are people from successful political movements who have been killed, had people make an attempt on their life, or were put in prison.

    [FIXED AS OF 1.75.0]

I think that was the version; I let it go for a while hoping a later update might fix it, but it looks like it's not going anywhere :D

Android 9, Sony G8141, if that helps.

Sorry for taking so long to report it; I'm happy to wait but afraid new users might experience it and not give the app the chance it deserves.

The crash happens when loading the comments on a post with comments; 0 comment posts load as normal, and the post feed works as normal. I've been getting around it by sharing the post to my browser when I want to read comments :D

Both mods are also moderators of announcements@discuss.online; they are admins, this is their instance, and they are engaging in vote tampering to boost their instance and its communities over the rest of the fediverse.

The mod banning these users is the same mod who made the posts they downvoted. This is mod abuse, turning the downvote button into an auto-self-ban button.

The message is "If you disagree with me, you will be banned"

Monitoring and banning users for using lemmy as intended to signal boost your opinion should be grounds to have all mod privileges removed. This behaviour undermines the integrity of the server and the wider fediverse.

    Mod Abuse:

    https://lemmy.world/modlog/1432313?page=1&actionType=All

The instance has 3 active subs, it's unlikely the admins are not also the mods engaging in this.

Banning anyone who downvotes is a clear attempt to foster a chilling effect on dissenting opinions. The mods and admins of this instance are putting their thumb on the scales in order to make their ideas appear more positively received than they actually are.

Thanks for your attention to this.

EDIT: the mod responsible for these actions has been caught voting multiple times using a variety of sockpuppet accounts.
