Edit: Hopefully it goes without saying, don't adopt pets to show off on social media (Nemo effect). I don't think Lemmy users would do that, but you never know. Above duck was given to a family (single mom and her kid I believe) a few years ago and would be with them on their street stand. That misses the public transport options which are nonexistent on the US (for most practical purposes) for answering which one is "doing better". From the way people drive, we'd all benefit from not being forced to own a car if we didn't want to. It should be a premium/luxury product not a necessity for being part of society.

Good luck with that to them. Internet reliability is extremely crappy in the US, even on supposedly "tech hubs" in California the best you can do is unreliable Comcast or super slow DSL from AT&T.
Me running Linux does not make me feel better when I have to run a pre-compiled binary from some (currently liked) company, valve could do better on this particular instance. How many people will actually run using the fully open source drivers? I'm guessing not most since it's not the one valve provides (unless I read that wrong).
