Billionaires and corporations here in America have been actively attacking unions for decades. They fund "think-tanks" that spread the idea to workers that unions are stealing their money and are bad for them while lobbying the government to weaken union rights. It has been very effective, union membership in the US has dropped significantly. It is only recently that unions have started to grow again here.

    I did see it and knew what it referenced. There was nothing scary at all about it, it was clearly an LED sign. I couldn't believe how massive an over reaction there was to it by the police. Terrorists tend not to put bright LEDs on their weapons as an advertisement.

    I know a similar method is used to keep birds from grabbing fish in a Koi pond. Something about the filament deters them. The sparrows often land on top of the box first so I wonder if this has the same effect of stopping them from dropping into the filament.
