That is an interesting idea. It would be neigh impossible because there is already so much accounting tech to hide or distort profit though.
You believe it's important to not subvention AI for a while? It is a fundamental issue because if you can undercut labor costs for a while and get people fired you make businesses dependent on the AI that replaced that labor and then can raise costs again. Obviously that doesn't even really work and businesses are shooting themselves in the foot right now, but it doesn't stop them from trying.
In China a court just ruled that firms can't lay off workers based on AI. A law like that would severely slow down the adoption rate and expansion of AI.
