The person seems heavily bound with Russian desinformation, ties with RT, and foreign letterbox company, to circumvent sanctions. Then got caught in the consequences of the freezing of Russian assets after the Ukraine war.

I can't get past the train in alyx after getting the gun, I crash on the loading screen. I tried both bazzite and cachOS with the same result. Getting it to even run is always a hassle too and feels like it comes down to luck if it runs or not. Multiple components seem to fail at random either it doesn't launch or the headset stays black, or I can't get the game to run and stay in the cloudy sky or the room scale messes up and I'm half stuck in the floor. The whole experience is awful even though I really want to enjoy VR. I got myself a really beefy pc with a 9800x3d and a 7900xtx so I hoped not having to struggle with nvidia drivers would make things easier but I'm at a loss what to even try anymore or if its worth it.

I had a laptop where the HDMI/dvi slots ran off the CPU instead of the GPU. Maybe worth to investigate?

Your specs aren't too far outside of the recommended specs on the steam page, for you to only get 10-20fps. Are you sure your monitor is connected to the GPU?

I treat it mostly the same I treat games on linux, if your game doesn't run, because of spyware-like DRM, looking at you EA, then I guess it's not for me. Play integrity api is the same in that regard.

Unfortunately the trend is that those apps usually require play integrity api https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide#apps-banning-grapheneos which requires that the app is running on a verified android(stock) device and custom ROMs can't run it same for waydroid.

I get your frustration with recent mozilla actions, but I don't think this one deserves it. For one your point seems like whataboutism. Secondly If you heard about Cambridge analytica it should be clear how much those algorithms shape our lives. It would be good to know for me if those algorithms are really just boring algorithms or if they are shaped by some political or company agenda.

not sure if it has your m3u8 feature but I'm using Auxio I find it snappier than vlc and its more granular about which folder I want to grant it access to and not just demands all file access
