Jon Ronson's podcast miniseries on the culture wars talk about when abortion was adopted by the evangelical movement. It had a lot to do with some prominent pastors' son regretting an abortion. I don't remember the specifics, but that miniseries was great.

It doesn't require an all-powerful entity to control people who are ready and willing to act completely in love with whoever you paint a blue dot on. The mindless fools on both sides are not exactly the most clever people alive.

If innocent lives lost is the metric then biden shot the bed. Not trump. What bombs did we supply to who while Trump was in office? I get that you don't care about innocent foreigners dying from your tax money, but your selfishness isn't all that matters. People in foreign countries matter too.
